NEW LOGO

As Eyaa-Keen Centre continues to evolve, so has their image. This year they've been proud to reveal a brand new logo to better reflect the Traditional teachings that bring meaning to their programs.

The logo is based on the name Eyaa-Keen - which means being natural, being self/authentic, being grounded/at one with the earth.

Starting in the middle of the logo, the colour pink represents the individual, and the centre of one's being, which is directly connected with the Creator. From there, our existence begins, made up of our uniqueness, powers, gifts, and purpose in life.

The centre is surrounded by a seven point gold star - the same number of points to parallel the Seven Sacred Laws of life, which are at the very core of living: Love, Respect, Courage, Honesty, Wisdom, Humility and Truth.

From each of these seven star points come the spirits of the Clan, each with their own governing laws: Eagle, Bear, Turtle, Deer, Wolf, Loon and Crane.

The four rings of colour carry their own significance with respect to the five elements of the creation of life forms on earth, and the power of the surrounding universe:

  • Red for the people of Turtle Island; as a way of living by being on the 'red road'.
  • Yellow for the sun as the Creator's fire; the ceremonial fire is for people to rekindle their fire within the centre of their being.
  • Blue for the sky and the universe.
  • Green for water and Mother Earth, all her children, and the medicines.
  • White represents the place where clarity can be found.

The four bars symbolize the four original nations and the four main passages and doors from within self that move out into the physical world. Four also represents the four directions:

  • Yellow is in the East where knowledge comes from, and teachings of life.
  • Blue is in the South where growth takes place from the teachings.
  • Red is in the West where lives understanding from application of the teachings.
  • White is in the North where clarity takes place and wisdom follows.
